I think the problem is that Lucas makes the dumbest faces when he tries to act. We all know the type of character thernadier is supposed to be. But lucas plays him very awkwardly and is an eye sore and makes my ears bleed. And of course he overacts. He is clearly showing too much of an attempt to portray thernadier's characteristics. Alun Armstrong captures him perfectly and with ease. He makes you believe that he is thernadier while Lucas makes you believe he's some actor trying his hardest to be thernadier. Armstrong makes it look natural. Lucas does not look natural. And his attempt at comedy is lame - he thinks he's hilarious. He's much more awkward than funny. He and Jonas were terrible casts.
